Caruthersville man arrested for car theft

CARUTHERSVILLE - A man is in custody after stealing a motor vehicle from a gasoline station.

At 1:28 a.m. Saturday, Caruthersville Police were called to the Casey's General Store to investigate the theft of a vehicle, according to Caruthersville City Marshal Tony Jones.

William Luke, 24, of Poplar Bluff told officers he had gone inside the business to pay for gas when a man entered his unlocked vehicle and drove off without permission.
