Just a reason to loot

Hello Southeast Missourians and Americans. Well, I see where we are at it again up there in South County in Ferguson. I'm sorry the kid got shot. It was probably a white cop too. But anyway, that's immaterial. It should be handled properly. Let them investigate it. Sure they brought the FBI in because it's a racial thing. Of course it was. But that didn't give them other clowns the right to break into these other people's businesses and steal from them. And they won't get charged! I bet you a dime to a dollar that none of those clowns that went in there laughing and stealing will get charged. That will just give them something to do out of spite. This isn't the first time - Rodney King and all that other crap. They made it a racial issue. Let the authorities take care of it. Keep the NAACP and all those other idiots stay where they belong and let the authorities take care of it. If the cop is wrong, send him to jail. What about the rest? The law only goes one way. People, this is why the second amendment applies. Have a great day and God bless America.

Work instead of steal

Oh what is the world coming to? All that stuff up in St. Louis and everything. My solution is to get all those people off of welfare and make them get out and find a job so their checks will stop, to get out and make a decent living. A decent living to me is not a cellphone in both ears and cars to run around in and all that stuff. I pray for the people in St. Louis. I know they are scared to death. Let's all just work together.

The right to privacy

In reference to the editorial from the Springfield News Leader on August 11, I do support Sen. Rob Schaaf, Republican for St. Joseph. He is correct to want to protect the privacy that the Constitution affords the American people. The Supreme Court just ruled that even cellphones need a search warrant to be accessed by the government or the police. Do the people really want the government and/or police have access to your medical records to see what prescriptions you are being prescribed? How many people think this is a good idea, except our state representative from Sikeston? How about rights to medical privacy? Doctor/patient confidentiality? Those would be destroyed. Do you want the authorities to know that you have an STD, cancer or a toothache by the prescriptions you are being prescribed? How far will this door be opened before it is realized to lose one right is to lose many rights? This may not affect you now, but somewhere down the road, it will. Stop the invasion of privacy now or you will regret it later. It's not the government's business what the doctor treats you for or how he treats it.
