Man flees police on foot after vehicle chase

MINER -- Police are searching for a man who fled on a foot following a vehicle pursuit that ended late Wednesday in Bertrand.

According to a news release from Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs, about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer with Miner Police Department was patrolling the neighborhood in the area of David Lane and noticed a dually truck that was pulling a box-style trailer. The officer recognized the trailer and believed it had been stolen from a residence on David Lane. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle to investigate, and the vehicle fled.

The police pursuit traveled north on David Lane and then east on U.S. Highway 62.
