Beta Club members from Charleston Middle School attended the National Beta Club Leadership Summit Nov. 7-8 in Poplar Bluff. Eight CMS eighth grade students networked with members from other schools and completed team building activities. They also heard from motivational speakers Grant Baldwin and Harriet Turk, who discussed overcoming teen-related obstacles like peer pressure, and "paying it back" in schools and communities with good deeds and service. CMS Beta Club is sponsored by sixth grade teacher Anne Willis.
