Scott County Central students honored by SWC Districts for artistic talents

SIKESTON -- Art students at Scott County Central recently participated in the Soil and Water Conservation Districts annual poster contest. This year's theme was "Dig Deeper -Mysteries in the Soil." First Place Winners in kindergarten--first grade category received $5; first place winners in the second -- 12th grade category received $25; second place winners received $15; third place winners received $10.Winners from Scott County Central were as follows: first place: Caleb Lofton, kindergarten; Camarie Perdue, first grade; Annie Oliver, third grade; Jayden Keller, sixth grade; Kinley Alcorn, Ninth grade; Katie Scherer, 10th grade; second place: Katie Pobst, third grade; Maddie Fitchpatrick, fourth grade; Devon Baker, eighth grade; Laura Henderson, 11th grade; and third place: Reagen Evans, third grade; Lindsey Hunt, ninth grade; Tony Davis, 10th grade. Several posters by SCC students have been sent to Jefferson City for additional judging.
