What's your stand?

I have noticed all the signs around town that four people are vying for a position on the Sikeston school board. Before I vote, I would like to know their position on Common Core and I'm sure other people would like to know also. Heather, Matt, Jay and Chris, how do you stand on Common Core? Let us know by stating your stand in this paper so we will know how to vote. I, for one, will not vote for any one of you that will not respond.

The candidates profiles will be published in the paper prior to the election.

Clowning around

I understand that a bunch of countries have good strong leaders. All we have is a man that draws red lines and don't know what they mean. All we've got is a clown for president.

Weather watcher

Is there a local radio station in Sikeston that gives the local weather and reports? With tornado season coming up, I'd like the chance to check in on local tornado and weather reports.

Will take leftovers
