Plate debate

This is to "Warriors deserve a plate." Let me say this first, I and all America are proud of the service you gave for our country. In response to your SpeakOut article, apparently you did not read all of it, I made a point to address the issue that I did not want to take anything away from the Korean War veterans. There has been several incidents along the Korea DMZ where our soldiers have been killed since the truce went into effect, that the news media never carried. I was very fortunate that I didn't have anyone shooting at me from the North, at the time I was there 8 years after the truce was signed, we were more worried about the untrained ROK Army (South) shooting at us. Now South Korean soldiers are the best trained in the world. I do not want to be a war hero as you stated, because I'm not, but we were in harm's way, and that makes me and thousand others proud of our service. And before you do anything, ask the mother of the one soldier killed in 1962 while on patrol on the DMZ, or the mothers of the two soldiers killed in 1963, one on the DMZ and one on a front end loader that the side of a mountain gave way on, and see what their opinion would be on this subject. You do what you feel that you have to do sir, for I have lived a long time without the plate, and I will go on with or without it. I'm proud of you and your service and sacrifices that you and others have gave for this great Nation. Yours truly, Gerald Rogers.

Got what we deserve

God could allow the same thing to happen to the abortionists, as they do the unborn babies, and I doubt if it would be painful, for after all, they don't have any feelings. God has often used the enemy nations to correct his people. I've heard that every nation gets the leader they deserve.

Can you hear me now?

I wish the city of Sikeston would make a law that people cannot drive their car while talking on the telephone. If they have to talk, pull off the side of the road and talk to whomever it is that it's necessary for you to talk to. I go down the street and over half of the people I meet have that phone stuck up to their ear and driving. That is very unsafe.
