The ball's in your court

If anyone has any information on the benefit basketball game in New Madrid on Memorial Day Weekend, the Minner family, could they please put the article in the paper? Or call me at 573-931-1086. I need the information for an elderly resident that needs to know what happened because she's been out of town.

Nice park, bad street

East Prairie has a nice city park, four or five baseballs diamonds in it, some playground equipment and a street that goes around it that you have to have a seatbelt on so you can stay in your vehicle. City has over six pickup trucks to haul their employees around, but they don't have a road grader. I don't know what they did with it, probably sold it for scrap or something. Anyway, they evidently are not aware of what this park looks like. It's a shame to have a nice park and people have to put a seatbelt on when they drive around the street. Why don't you people get over here and clean this place up?

Driving home a point

This is to the person that responded about merging onto the interstate. Yes, we are to yield to traffic when we are trying to get on the interstate, but people like you are the ones that give other people road rage. You are the type of person that drives down the interstate on their "Sunday drive" with no cares and not paying attention to anything else going on. Others are on their way to work and you're on your way to Menards from Sikeston to see if there's anything on sale. Anybody else knows that there's an on ramp coming up and go ahead and get over in the lefthand lane so the others can merge on. You're the type of person, you don't care. You stay in the right lane. You don't care if they have to come to a complete stop. You're the type of person that causes wrecks. It's you.
