SIKESTON -- Even before the students walk through the doors of their classroom, their teachers are walking up to the doors of their homes to welcome them back to school.

On Wednesday braving the blazing sun and 90-plus degree heat, teachers boarded school buses and began traveling the streets of the Sikeston R-6 School District.
