Sikeston's freshman and JV football teams split with Farmington

FARMINGTON -- Sikeston's freshman football team got three touchdowns from Dez Green and another two from Nate Self Monday during its 46-20 road win over Farmington.

Rushing touchdowns by Elijah Faulkner and Self gave Sikeston (4-1) a 16-8 lead. After Farmington cut its deficit to two points, Green scored Sikeston's next three touchdowns with runs of 5, 70 and 10 to secure a 40-14 advantage.

Self round the endzone again with a five-yard rush to make up the final.

Farmington 26, Sikeston 6

Sikeston fell behind by three touchdowns in the first half in its road loss.

Farmington tacked on two scores in the second quarter to go ahead 18-0 at halftime.

A fumble recovery in the endzone by Jeland Allen at the 2:29 mark in the third quarter put Sikeston on the board, 18-6, but the offense continued its struggles into the fourth quarter.

Farmington completed a 70-yard touchdown pass with 4:43 remaining in the fourth to go ahead 26-6.
