Mike and Jami Geske of New Madrid County Farm Bureau shared knowledge about the importance of corn with members of Christy Kennedy's third grade class at Matthews' Elementary recently. Students learned that corn products are found in clothing, food and fuel. There are many different types of corn: sweet corn, Indian corn, popcorn, and feed corn. All are important to us in our daily lives. The group was also treated to several snacks made from corn products- flavored popcorn, Fritos corn chips, and candy corn, sweetened with corn syrup.
