BENTON, Mo. -- The Scott County Central Braves used a big fourth quarter to earn a 64-48 road win over Kelly Tuesday night.

Kelly led at halftime 28-24 and the game was tied 37-37 after three quarters before Scott Central outscored the Hawks 27-11 in the final frame.

Jeffery Porter scored 15 of his game-high 35 points to help the Braves improve to 15-8 on the season. Deantrell Beard added 13 for Scott Central.

Levi Alsup led Kelly (9-10) with 10 points.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (SMNS) -- The New Madrid County Central Eagles kept pace early with 3-point shots but lost on the road Tuesday night in SEMO Conference play.

"The phase of the game we lost it tonight was offensive rebounding," NMCC coach Travis Day said. "We gave too many offensive boards up and we can't do that against good teams."

Poplar Bluff scored 22 second-chance points, finished with a 45-30 rebounding advantage and hit half of its shots from the field.

The Eagles sank 8 of 15 3-point shots in the first half to keep pace with the host Mules, who led 41-36 at the break. NMCC finished with 12 3-pointers but shot 45 percent from the field.

Poplar Bluff scored nine straight points to start the third quarter and led by double digits for all but a few seconds the rest of the game.

NMCC (8-12, 1-5 SEMO) was led by 19 points from Palmer Campbell. Javarcus Word added 16 while Chris Farr and Garrison Keene each scored 14.

Junior forward Willie Lucas scored 30 to go with 12 rebounds to lead the Mules (12-6, 1-1). Freshman Marcedus Leech chipped in 27 points, hitting 5 of 9 shots from 3-point range.

BELL CITY, Mo. -- The Bloomfield Wildcats improved to 18-3 with a 71-56 road win over conference foe Bell City Tuesday night.

Bloomfield held a slim 30-28 lead at the half but outscored Bell City 41-28 over the final two quarters to earn the win.

"We really had to weather the storm from Bell City," said Bloomfield coach Jason Karnes. "They get a lot of effort and production from their guys and we finally stepped up and played with a little bit of effort and energy the second half.

"We don't want to take any steps back this time of year, so hopefully we can tighten some things up as we move forward."

Noah Vandiver led the Wildcats' balanced attack with 16 points as Peyton Bell added 15, Nathan Newell 11 and Tim Hector 10.

Bell City was led by Cole Nichols' game-high 21 points while Bobby Wright finished with 14.

WARDELL, Mo. -- The Risco Tigers snapped a five-game winning streak with a 72-47 Tri-County Conference road win over North Pemiscot Tuesday night.

Freshman Nathan Burnett poured in a game-high 33 points with the help of seven 3-pointers to lead the Tigers.

"It was a total team effort tonight but Nathan Burnett really sparked us," said Risco coach Brandon Blankenship. "He really stepped up and played well offensively and defensively."

Drew Fortner added 16 and Morgan Ludwig 13 for Risco who improves to 6-13 and closes out their Tri-County Conference schedule with a 3-3 record.

"I feel like our best basketball is ahead of us," Blankenship said.

Risco will host Richland for their homecoming on Friday.

CLARKTON, Mo. -- The Clarkton Reindeer avenged an earlier season loss to Delta C-7, downing the Chargers 51-47 Tuesday night.

"I thought we played with high intensity for the first time in a while tonight," said Clarkton coach Jordan Bidewell. "We played (Delta C-7) earlier in the year and they thumped us pretty good. I have been stressing all year to play through it and tonight they started to get it."

Clarkton led 28-21 at the half and was able to hold off the Chargers in the final two stanzas.

"I always know playing against Coach Wes (Richardson) that it will be a battle. His kids always seem to play hard and that's a testament to his program."

Clarkton (6-12, 3-3) was led in scoring by Emanuel White's 19 while Layne Morgan tallied 16.

Jon McCrary dropped in 15 for Delta C-7 as Matt Hoskins added 10.

"I was happy for our guys," Bidewell said. "From the number one guy to the last one on the bench, they were all in to the game. We still have a long way to go and it gets tougher and tougher when I look down the schedule from here to the end of the year."

HAYTI -- Freshman Dominique Hardimon's 25 points helped the South Pemiscot Bulldogs advance to the semifinals of the Bootheel Conference Tournament with a 63-58 win over Senath-Hornersville Tuesday night.

Third-seeded South Pemiscot (17-4) trailed early and were losing 30-29 at halftime before rallying in the second half.

Steven Wilbourn finished with 15 points for the Bulldogs while Kevin Burton hit two 3-pointers and scored 13 points.

Kyle Moore led Senath with 25 points as David Sawyer and Austin Autry added 13 and 10 respectively.

The Bulldogs will take on second-seeded Caruthersville at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The Tigers defeated Portageville 71-40 in the opening round Tuesday. Top seeded Malden downed Holcomb 83-63 while fourth seeded Hayti blew out Campbell 86-57.
