Trash talk

I'm calling referring to a house in Morley that has trash in the yard. I think the city needs to do something about it. This has been going on ever since they've lived there. I think the city needs to give them a citation.People from out of town come to visit the cemetery and they see this yard with all the grown up weeds and trash. It does not make the city look good at all. They are ruining other people's property. Those people need to pick up the trash instead of making the trash company pick it up on Wednesday. Their job is to pick it up from the trash can, not from around it.

Baptismal pool

I'm calling about the sheriff and the local ministers who got together and put swimming pools out where they could baptize people and submerge them in the proper way, and there's no chance that they could fall. They are warm from the outside air. They are clean. What a perfect idea! Some churches won't baptize people because they are afraid the water is too cold for them or that they might slip and fall. It looks like the are 2 feet, 3 feet at the most, portable swimming pools. They had them in there and people waiting and the ministers baptized them. I think that's a good idea for the summertime. Maybe people would donate pools here in New Madrid for these people who would like to be baptized but can't due to their health or their age. That's a very, very Christian idea.

Not a mathematician

I was checking out of a Sikeston restaurant today. My bill was $16.24. I put out a $20 bill, and then said, "Here's a quarter." This girl was so confused, she had to call over the assistant manager to get my change.
