Time to tell the truth

Maybe it's time for a little honesty. I know the truth is either boring to horrifying, but surely nothing more peril than what we are presently facing, which is ourselves. It is time to ditch the two-party system. It's time our leaders not be chosen out of the "lesser of two evils," but out of purity, intelligence, diligence and concern for All Citizens, not just the select few. It's time we unite, not as Democrats or Republicans, but as Americans, and select our leaders standing from one stage. One convention. One debate. We fought the British because of taxation. Taxes - the one thing Americans expect to pay more of every year. When will Americans finally stand, scream, kick and yell, "enough is enough!"? What will it take?! More pointless bureaucratic wars? More business conglomerates shipping our manufacturing jobs over seas? More federal debt? You can't blame it on a Republican president when the Democrats control Congress nor can you blame it on a Democratic president when Republicans control the seats. Both parties are draining our resources, depleting our retirement and alienating us from the world. I hear both Republicans and Democrats say "we need to do what's best for the party." Never do I hear them say, "we need to do what is best for our Nation - our People." Today, we have to weasel around our logic and reason to ourselves -- lie to ourselves that "this crook" or "that racist" - these demagogues - best represent our Nation. We have gone from soaring eagles to a pit of snakes. What would our Founders say? - is what we should be asking. I'll tell you what some would say: John Adams said, "there is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the Republic into two great parties...is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution. George Washington added, "the alternate domination of one faction over another...is itself a frightful despotism...It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part again another, torments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption..." Is there still Hope? Or are we too far gone?

Where's the honor?

How could anybody support Hillary Clinton for president who will not even honor the deaths of our fallen police officers across this nation at her convention? Nor will she allow any police officers in that convention. And supports Black Lives Matter and their racial rhetoric about pigs, frying them like bacon; what do we want - dead cops, when do we want it - now. How can anybody possibly support that woman for president who advocates for the murder of police officers?

Look again

I have a comment to the city of Sikeston. Why do all of these police officers think they are "all that" when they are out of uniform? When they are out of uniform, they are just like you, me or any individual that lives in the city of Sikeston. I would like for you to respond to this comment please.

I'm quite sure that if you needed help, it wouldn't matter to a policeman if he were in or out of uniform, he would help. Take another look.

Your money or your head?

To the person who said you better kiss your Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare goodbye if Donald Trump is elected. I would like to let you know that only three times in the past 40 years has there not been a Social Security increase. This year will be the fourth. All four times in which there was not a cost of living increase for Social Security recipients occurred under the Obama administration, which as we all know, will be Hillary's third term and Obama's third term. Also, I need to let you know if you're really worried about him being a Christian man and you need to ask God to help us. The only reason we will need God to help us is if Hillary's open-border policy goes into effect and ISIS overtakes the United States. You will either have to give your support to the Muslim prophet Allah or be beheaded. So what's more important to you - your Social Security or your life?

Shut the door

Hillary's open-border policy is going to get us all killed. She advocates for an open border knowing full well that ISIS has stated they will come through that border. They are already here. There are open ISIS investigations in all 50 states. With an open border and no boundaries whatsoever all of them can all come through to our country and get us all killed. Then she wants to take away our guns so we can't defend ourselves from the lunatic Islamic terrorists.
