SD: Prep Football Glance -- Week 3

Thursday, September 1, 2016

Charleston at Central Panthers
Records: Charleston 0-2; Central 0-1
Series History: First-ever meeting
Last Week: Charleston lost to Hayti 54-6; Central lost to Van-Far 48-6
Outlook: Charleston has lost 23 games in-a-row, the most consecutive losses in school history. However, the Bluejays look to end that dubious streak this week, facing a Central team made up of home school students from the Arnold, Mo., area. The Panthers have lost all nine games against MSHSAA-sanctioned schools since 2014, being outscored 462-46 in that span. Charleston has been outscored 106-6 so far this season. Charleston has gained just 218 yards on the season, 147 last week against Hayti. Bluejay quarterback Kavion Thompson found Q'naries Anderson for a 40-yard touchdown strike last week, for Charleston's only score of the season.
