Estes wins Bassbuster tourne

SIKESTON - The Bootheel Bassbusters held their sixth tournament of the year on Aug. 12 on Lake Barkley. Mike Estes won the tournament with the 7 lbs., 10 ozs., including the tournament big-bass of 4 lbs., 1 oz.

Leven Cox was second with 4 lbs., 5 oz., and Jerry Dement took home third with 2 lbs., 9 oz. Kenny Dement won the club's "Lucky Drawing."

Stan Pace held onto the lead in the Angler-of-the-Year race with 617 points. Jerry Dement is second with 477 points and Jimmy Davis is third with 355 points.

The club travels to Smithland Pool on the Ohio River for their seventh tournament of the year on Sept. 9.
