Frances Duff

BETHALTO, Ill. - Frances Baugh Duff, 80, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died at 5:14 p.m. Oct. 18, 2002, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.

Born Oct. 14, 1922, at Charleston, daughter of the late Alfred and Berneta Elizabeth Telker Carlisle, she had lived in Charleston her entire life and moved recently to Bethalto to be near her family. She had been employed with Knights Department Store in Charleston for several years until retiring in 1982. She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church.

In January 1982, she married Boyd Duff who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1995.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Martin Carlisle, Alfred Carlisle and Andrew Carlisle; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bonifield and Louise Bruenderman.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Lee and Ruth Baugh of Prairietown, Ill.; one sister, Regina Bruenderman of St. Charles; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry, pastor of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cairo, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Derek Baugh, Doug Schaefer, Michael Biciocchi, Richard Bruenderman, Donald Bruenderman and Joe Carlisle.
