Parade enjoyed

Monday, August 12, 2002

Early Saturday (Aug. 3) morning, a group of residents from Sells Rest Home in Matthews were getting ready to "cowboy up" for Sikeston's annual rodeo parade.

The residents left with activity directors Tracie Lowman and Angie Alsup and activity volunteer Andy VanVickle about 9 a.m. to enjoy the event. Upon their arrival, the residents put on their hats and kicked back to enjoy the parade. The continuous smiles on their faces indicated the fun they had.

The residents, staff and families of Sells would like to thank the citizens and guests of Sikeston for the generosity and compassion to our residents on our outing, especially those sharing their umbrellas. We would also like to express our gratitude to the parade participants for their attention and candy - the residents loved you.

It makes us feel great when we see excitement and joy in our residents' faces. Thank you, Sikeston. It was wonderful!
