Mae Woods

MERCED, Calif. - Franke Mae Dillon Woods died Dec. 7, 2004, in Merced.

Born in Missouri, she was a school teacher for more than 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star where she served in various offices including past matron. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association and University Women.

Survivors include: one son, Jack Brown of Illinois; one daughter, Dorcy Honza of Merced; one sister, Shirley Hammock of Missouri; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andrew Bear officiating.

Graveside rites are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo. The Rev. Dolan Rogers will officiate.

Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
