Speakout 12/29

I was wondering why you don't show Scott City's basketball records in the paper once a week like you show for the other schools. I think it should be listed with all the other schools.

We only have room to run a few schools in our coverage area each week. Sorry.

The trouble with the Republicans is that they sent a boy to do a man's job.

This is to the bingo players all over Missouri. When bingo is being played, please keep your talking, giggling and carrying on down to a minimum. Don't act like there's nothing going on. It disturbs adjoining people. It would sure help.

I wish Kmart was back in Sikeston because after Christmas, when the sales start happening, they would let you put it in layaway and I don't think Wal-Mart lets you do this. We miss you, Kmart.

In response to "How rude" to the cashier who called in, there is no reason for you to lick your fingers to give a receipt or money back. That is gross. You also don't know what you put someone in contact with from your saliva. Do you know anything about health?

I'm in hopes someone will give me the one Christmas present I didn't receive. A week or so ago I took off my favorite jacket and evidently walked off without it because I can't find it anywhere. To make matters worse, I'm not even sure where I left it, just that it was somewhere here in Sikeston. It's a pretty red and black checkered fleece jacket which I dearly love. I am so mad at myself for forgetting it like I did and I wish with all my heart that some kind person has found it and will return it to me. My number is 472-4469. Getting it back would be the best present I could receive.

They keep bringing in new laws but maybe if they would bring back some of the old laws about adultery some of these men would learn how to stay home with their families instead of going out and dropping their pants everywhere else just because they want something different.
