Eye for art

Monday, April 15, 2002

Roxanne Wilson carefully applies a basecoat to one of the flower pots which will be among the items sold during the Immaculate Conception Catholic School's annual plant and flower sale on April 20 in New Madrid. Wilson and other students in New Madrid County Central's art fundamentals classes are painting the flower pots as community service project. Also available during the Saturday sale will be mulch, a variety of flowers and hanging baskets. Food will be sold and an antique tractor show is planned. In exchange for the students' work, the Immaculate Conception Home and School Association is making a donation to the Steven Brashear Memorial Scholarship Fund.
