Golda White

CHAFFEE - Golda J. White, 77, died at 9:50 p.m. March 8, 2002, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1924, in Nash, daughter of Clara Walton Horman of Chaffee and the late Frank Stidham, she was a teacher for Allenville and Chaffee Public Schools before retiring. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rockview.

On April 27, 1957, she married Eugene White who preceded her in death on April 17, 1996.

Survivors in addition to her mother include: one daughter, Rose Myers of Chaffee; two brothers, Pat Stidham of Chaffee and C.B. Stidham of Rockview; one sister, Bonnie Allen of St. Louis; and one grandson and one great-grandson.

No visitation is scheduled.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
