Kenneth Melton
CHEYNEYVILLE, La. - Kenneth Dale Melton, 65, formerly of Southeast Missouri, died Aug. 29, 2003, at the Rapids Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Born April 7, 1938, in Senath, Mo., son of the late Cecil Burian and Mary R. Romines Melton, he was a sugar cane farmer and member of the First Baptist Church in Parma, Mo.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kenna Jo Melton of Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, Kelly Melton of Memphis and Kevin Melton of Alexandria; two sisters, Mary Lynn Ford of Parma and Susan Kay Rackley of Gideon, Mo.; his former wife, Margaret Melton of Baton Rouge; and a special friend, Lurline Neck of Fifth Ward.
Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Senath Cemetery with the Rev. John Girdley of Parma, officiating.
John Kramer and Son Chapel in Alexandria was in charge of arrangements in Louisiana and Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Parma was in charge of local arrangements.
