Martha Lankheit
CHARLESTON - Martha Melinda Wilson Lankheit, 92, died at 10 a.m. July 14, 2003, at her home.
Born Feb. 15, 1911, in Miller City, Ill., daughter of the late Thomas Louis and Ella Mae Houston Wilson she lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.
On Jan. 24, 1933, she married Rudolph John Lankheit who preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1973.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles Lankheit and Johnny Lankheit; and two brothers, Alvin Wilson and Frank Wilson.
Survivors include: one daughter-in-law, Martha Ellen Lankheit of Charleston; one sister, Dorothy Musil of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Stephen Lankheit of Sikeston, Michelle Lankheit of St. Louis and Jennifer Porter of Spring, Texas; and two great-grandsons.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Henry Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Nichols, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Texas Bend Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Krueger Joe Krueger, Brian Miller, Derrick Miller, David Miller and John Fitzgerald.
