Maple Milton

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Maple Milton, 80, died June 5, 2003, at her home.

Born March 10, 1923, in Gillett, Ark., daughter of the late Eddie and Emma Carson Green, she was a member of the New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Dumas, Ark., where she served on the Usher Board.

In 1950, in Arkansas, she married Dennis Milton Sr. who preceded her in death.

One son and five sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Lee Morris of the home; three sons, Dennis Milton of Cape Girardeau, Russell Milton of Union City, Tenn., and Eugene Coaker of Waynesville; and two stepsons, Aaron Milton and Simon Milton of Memphis, Tenn.; and 16 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Friday until service time at noon at New Bethel Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Alex Sims will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Haywood City Cemetery.
