SIKESTON - Cynthia Darlene Ward, 44, died at 3:25 a.m. Feb. 5, 2005, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 18, 1960, in Clinton, Ark., to Brenda Collins Hammons of Bertrand and the late Alvin Ward, she had lived in Sikeston most of her life. She was member of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and employed as a truck driver with Henderson Trucking Co.

Surviving in addition to her mother is: two sons, Jonathan Ward of the home and Christopher Ward of Tunica, Miss.; two brothers, Roger Ward of Houston, Ark., and Robert Ward of Judsonia, Ark.; three sisters, Marilyn Mullins of Conway, Ark., Rhonda Reeves of Sikeston and Judy Williams of Bald Knob, Ark.; one granddaughter; and a special friend, Rick Henderson of the home.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gene Hammons.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Tarter, pastor of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ward, Roger Ward, Adam Brewer, Larry Thomas, Terry McCurter and Terry Moreland.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Alicia Reeves, Miranda Ward, Kenny Marlin, Dave Ward and Aaron Rapert.
