Vivertte Lee
CHARLESTON -- Viverette Lee, 90, died at 7 a.m. May 14, 2005, in Englewood, Fla.
Born Feb. 1, 1915, in Clinton, Ky., to the late Miles Thomas and Troy Viverette Lee, he had lived in Charleston his entire life where he was a landowner and retired farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
On Nov. 20, 1935, he married Elizabeth Richards Lee who preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1990. On March 21, 1991, he married Helen Chapman Shelby who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Cherie Blanton of Amelia Island, Fla., and Betty Williamson of Englewood; four stepdaughters, Debbie Williams of Charleston, Susan Carey and Boo McMurray of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Mary T. Graves of Tunica, Miss.; one sister, Louise Callahan of Charleston; four grandchildren, Lee Blanton of Sikeston, Brete Blanton of Leesburg, Fla., Stacy Williamson of Cave City, Ky., and Brian Williamson of Mason, Ohio; and one great-grandson, C.L. Blanton of Sikeston.
One sister, Virginia Jaynes, preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, until time for a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Roger Jespersen, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, and the Rev. Richard Combs of Jackson will officiate.
Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
