Call 471-6636

I'd like to say something else about the late night flashing red and yellow lights at opposing intersections in Sikeston. This isn't very recommended practice, is it? It seems like all flashing red or all flashing yellow signals would be better so the driver would know what kind of signal the driver on the road next to him has.

A lady I know is pregnant and needs maternity clothes and baby clothes. She doesn't have a job and is very much in need. So if someone can help this young lady, please call 667-9036.

My grandson went to a shoe store and they have a little machine there that you put 50 cents in to get a movie. When he put the 50 cents in, he got out a "bomb bag." I don't know if people are aware what's in those machines but I wish you would send someone out to take a picture of this little bag that he got out for 50 cents. In this day, with what happened on Sept. 11, 2001, I don't think it's a very practical gesture for them to put them in these machines. They had to throw it five feet away from them for it not to hurt them. And not many people could throw five feet away. I want parents to be aware of what their children are getting out of those machines that are being put around in stores. They say they're for charity or for some other reason that they're collecting the money. I'm very upset with this. If he had taken this to school, he would be in a lot of trouble. He really thought he had something. He went in there to get a movie. If you would send somebody out here and take a picture to put in the paper, I would be thrilled to death so that no other parents' children will get in trouble over something they get out of those machines.

Where is my SpeakOut comment about the Ohio State Buckeyes?
