Bootie Triplett

DEXTER - Elizabeth "Bootie" Triplett, 64, died May 15, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 20, 1939, in Bernie, daughter of the late Everett Cecil and Kathern Musgrave Gibson, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was bookkeeper for the family farm for many years.

On Aug. 17, 1958, at Bernie, she married Melvin Triplett who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Stephen and Sharon Triplett of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Michelle and Doug Hill of Union City, Tenn.; one brother, John Gibson of Jackson; one sister, Janie Young of Bowie, Texas; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Gibson and Harold Gibson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dan Sitze will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
