SIKESTON - Rey de la Torre, celebrated Cuban guitarist, will be heard in recital tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Lee Hunter School auditorium by members of the Missouri Delta Community Concert Association. He is one of the foremost artists in his field.

MOREHOUSE - The Morehouse Rauch Spence Memorial Methodist Church's new parsonage, AA-grade, completed a few weeks ago, is now occupied by the Rev. Charles R. Carr and family.

PARMA - The Parma Senior Citizens will have a bake sale and arts and crafts bazaar Saturday at the Community Building. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cookies, cakes and pies will be sold by the piece with coffee during the day. All art and craft items not sold will be auctioned off at 3:30 p.m.

SIKESTON - In keeping with the season, the Board of Municipal Utilities has agreed to refund a major portion of our electric bills for the month of December. This discount will show up on the bill to arrive in most mailboxes about Jan. 2, 1993. We salute Sikeston Light an Water for taking this step.

SIKESTON - The First Baptist Church of Sikeston recently donated proceeds, a total of $2,000 from the Living Christmas Tree to the Standard Democrat/Democrat Printing Company's Community Christmas Campaign. Dr. Jim Guffie, pastor, and Mike Parker, minister of music, presented the gift to Michael Jensen, campaign coordinator.
