Euda Russom

SIKESTON - Euda M. Russom, 89, formerly of Kewanee, died at 4:45 a.m. June 3, 2004, at the Miner Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 6, 1914, in Henderson, Tenn., daughter of the late William A. and Flora Chumney Kennedy, she was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

On April 29, 1934, in Milledgeville, Tenn., she married Henry L. Russom who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1967.

Survivors include: one son, Willard Russom of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Mary J. Merritt, Peggy L. Pearson and Jane Smith of Sikeston and Virginia Smith of Leachville, Ark.; and 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one son, one brother, three sisters, one grandson, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
