Call 471-6636

I read the SpeakOut about the East Prairie boys and girls basketball teams. I agree with this comment. I don't have any kids in school, but if that is happening, it is discrimination against the girls and that is very, very wrong and somebody should make it right. It should be 50-50, the boys half the time and the girls the other half.

I am responding to a SpeakOut request where someone was looking for a recording studio to do demos. I do this work and you can reach me at 472-0102 in Sikeston or e-mail me at m_word_2002@yahoo.com

I would like to SpeakOut against the city of Morehouse and the water they have here. Every month we pay at least $50 (it's extremely high for senior citizens and everybody else). I just came from the hospital last night and learned that I had been poisoned and I know good and well it's from the Morehouse water. I understand I'm not the only one in Morehouse who has been so sick with flu-like systems over the Morehouse water. They've got people here who are supposed to be working on the water to make it right, but they don't do it. They don't care if we live or die. Apparently the people who work in City Hall buy their water from Sikeston I guess, from the store or something, but you would think they'd try to tell people to boil the water or something. I wish they'd do something about this. I almost died last night. Why can't something be done about this?

Have you contacted the New Madrid County Health Department with your concern?

To the people who haul trash, leaves and limbs around Sikeston on their trailers, I wish you would tie them down. You leave debris all over the roads in Sikeston. There are people in town, especially on Ingram Road, who cannot afford to pay for trash pick-up, so they take their trash bags out to country roads and throw them out. Let's try to keep our eyes out for people who do this so we can turn them in. I found at least five bags of trash on North Ingram Road where people dropped them off at night. Maybe we need to offer a reward because how are we supposed to clean up Sikeston if people are throwing their trash in other peoples' yards?

I live on Ruth Street and would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you to whoever got this house torn down on the corner of Olive and Ruth streets. It has been an eyesore for years.
