Maxine Marshall

ST. LOUIS - Maxine Marie Marshall, 81, formerly of Scott City, died at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 18, 2001, at the Current River Nursing Home in Doniphan.

Born Dec. 10, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Rudolph and Gracie Mae Hensley Palmer, she was manager of American Bakeries before retiring.

On March 27, 1937, she married Isaac Hunter Marshall Jr. who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1983.

Survivors include: three sons, James Marshall of Corinth, Texas, and Eb Marshall and John Marshall of St. Louis; one daughter, Mary Omohundro of St. Louis; one brother, Roy "Bud" Palmer of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Jueldean Livingston of Scott City; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Marshall, who died in the Vietnam War; and one sister.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
