Louis Gardner
BELL CITY - Louis Arnold Gardner, 94, died July 19, 2004, at the Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born May 28, 1910, at Fort Henry, Tenn., son of the late Emory and Lillian Wofford Gardner, he was a minister for the Bell City Church of Christ for 54 years.
On April 19, 1928, at Bowling Green, Ohio, he married Lucille Gillis who preceded him in death on March 3, 1998.
Survivors include: one son, Ward Gardner of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one daughter, Mary Bartlett of Poplar Bluff; one half brother, Earl Gardner of Murray, Ky.; two half sisters, Agnes Hausford of Nashville, Tenn., and Estelle Hart of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. Jerry Robertson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
