I received a letter from a psychic wanting me to send them money. Is this a scam, and if so, what do I need to do. If it is a scam, I want to turn them in. I won't send them any money but I don't want to see other people fall into this.

Your April 28 editorial said a school in Missouri is spending almost $14,000 a year per child. Does this mean it takes almost $280,000 a year to educate 20 kindergarten children or 20 high school seniors? Oh, yes, Governor Holden. You need to ask us poor working people for more of our money. We need to call our state representatives now.

I am calling about the article about the House of Refuge. The manager noted that they are the only domestic shelter in New Madrid and Scott County. That is incorrect. I work for the Center for Family Resources in Malden and we have a domestic violence shelter that serves the six counties in Southeast Missouri. They are not the only domestic violence shelter in Southeast Missouri.

It seems to me your opinion of the west end is very one-sided. All the kids walking the streets and all the cars passing by are not causing trouble or playing loud music. I live on the west end and I'm sick and tired of those same people complaining about the kids and the cars. There are plenty of police right now on every block. What do you want? A war zone?

The suicide bombers who blew up the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were from Saudi Arabia. Now I see that we're pulling all our troops out of Saudi Arabia after beating up on a weak Iraqi army. Who really won?
