Claire Collins

KENOSHA, Wis. - Claire Mae Collins, 71, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died April 20, 2003, in the Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha.

Born Nov. 2, 1931, in Mississippi County to the late Carrol and Minnie Lee Busby Gammons, she had lived in Kenosha for several years. She worked at Jockey International, American Motors Co. and was a homemaker. Also she was a member of the River of Life Fellowship Church in Kenosha.

On Dec. 27, 1949, she married Lindell R. Collins, who preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1991.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Lindell and Linda Collins of Milwaukee; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Corbett Brown and Myrtle Collins of Kenosha; one brother, Sonny Gammons of East Prairie; one sister, Lou Gascoigne of East Prairie; and nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Judith Ann Collins, and one brother, Bill Gammons, preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
