DUDLEY - Carl Evans, 80, of rural Dudley, died Nov. 20, 2002, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born Aug. 16, 1922, at Carrier Mills, Ill., son of the late Elmer and Mary Wiley Evans, he had been an assembly line worker for General Motors in St. Louis and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On Feb. 20, 1945, in Malden, he married Lucille Dodd who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Larry D. Evans of Grubbville; two daughters, Reva Carol of High Ridge and Patricia L. Evans of Dudley; one brother, Lloyd Evans of Malden; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ulis Evans, Howard Evans, Mirl Evans and two in infancy; and one sister, Reba Reynolds.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.
