I am calling about a store in Sikeston. Every time I go in there, it's like a refrigerator. I can't even stand to shop in there. I'm surprised the poor little girls who work there don't have pneumonia.

We cannot name the store you are calling about. You should call the store and speak with the manager.

I was in the Veteran's Affairs office the other day. An officer was speaking with a client and I heard him ask the client what he thought about war. The VA officers said it is bad that Bush sent all those boys over there to be killed. I think that is very unethical because this officer is a veteran, a Veterans Affairs officer and he is criticizing us protecting our freedom. He is supposedly a veteran of a branch of our armed services which is there to protect our country. It is purely unethical for him to criticize the man who is running our country because we are in a war to protect our country.

I read a story in a tabloid where Bill Clinton was talking with President Bush and said his daughter, Chelsea, had earned another degree and would have a job that pays $100,000 a year. He said she got her brains from him and her morals from her mother. I didn't know Bill or Hillary had any morals. They both have the morals of an alley cat.

I know that Harry didn't win the mayoral election in Sikeston. Please tell me who in the world Harry is.

Harry Sharp had several advertisements in the Standard Democrat prior to the election, which included his experiences and qualifications. On April 6, he and Mayor Mike Marshall each offered their personal views and goals of the office (page 11).
