GRAYRIDGE - Gale "Big" Orr, 75, died March 25, 2003, at his home.

Born March 31, 1927, in Clarkton, son of the late Thomas B. and Etta King Orr, he was a retired farmer and member of the Essex Lions Club. He was a member of the Grayridge General Baptist Church and veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: two sisters, Doris McCoy of Dexter and Ruth Tucker of MerRouge, La.; eight nieces and nephews, including Marion Dale Orr Jr. of Grayridge; and 13 great-nieces and nephews and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.

His twin brother, Marion Dale "Little" Orr Sr., preceded him in death on May 17, 1971.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
