BENTON -- Veronica Michelle Vinyard and Charles Alan Conley Jr. were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony July 5, 2003, in Benton at the home of the bride's mother and stepfather, Donna and Michael Thompson. The Rev. Donald Estes performed the ceremony.

The bride is also the daughter of Frank Vinyard of Benton, and her husband is the son of Carmen Jenkins of Blodgett and Charles Conley Sr. of Wickliffe, Ky.

Given in marriage by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a white dress with a side drape tier. The strapless satin gown was accented by a tiara with a matching necklace and earring set.

Lauren Wilson of Sikeston served her friend as maid of honor and DeAnn Jones of Eureka, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Parks of Benton, sister of the bride; Jennifer Barnett of Benton; and Kelly Laird of Columbia.

Junior bridesmaids were Jordyn Thompson of Smyrna, Tenn., and Chelsea Conley of Kentucky. Malaya Beavers, daughter of Tommy and Tonya Beavers of Blodgett, was the flower girl.

Serving his friend as best man was Jeremy Gant of Cape Girardeau. Groomsmen were Michael Stanberry, Derek Hall and Jarrod Dockins of Sikeston and Ben Vinyard of Benton, brother of the bride.

Program attendant was Maury Beavers and guestbook attendant was Stacey Evans, both of Blodgett.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Benton, where reception assistants were Betty and Shorty Raines of Scott City, Jane Pfefferkorn, Carol Meyers, Barb Dittlinger and Brenda Guethle, aunts of the bride. The cake was provided by Denise and Jim Shelton of Blodgett.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conley are making their home in Valley Park.
