CARUTHERSVILLE - Two persons are in custody in connection with a burglary at a business.

Mark Galbraith, 18, of Cooter and Robert Allan Blagg, 19, of Steele are expected to appear before Judge Byron Luber today on charges of second degree burglary and stealing, both class C felonies, in connection with the burglary at Randy Grocery Store in downtown Cooter.

Pemiscot County Sheriff's deputies were called to the business early Wednesday. Reported missing were a safe, $700 in cash, $800 in black powder rifles and pistols and $600 in cigarettes and liquor.

Officers took information at the scene then began searching the area around Cooter. Near a bridge along County Highway 561, officers found what appeared to be pieces of the safe. Following further questioning of an individual who reported fishing poles stolen from a nearby residence and of store employees, deputies picked up two persons for questioning.

According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell during questioning the men confessed their involvement in the burglary.
