Cox takes angler of the year for second straight season

LAKE GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their final tournament of the year on October 22nd and 23rd on Lake Guntersville in Alabama.

Leven Cox captured the top honors with a two-day total of 23 lbs. 14 oz. Ty Garrett was second with 19 lbs. 6 oz., and Stan Pace was third with 14 lbs. 5 oz.

Stan Pace had the big bass on Friday, a 4 lb.10 oz. fish while Leon Miller had the second largest bass of the day, a 4 lb. 6 oz. fish.

Travis Garrett had the big bass on Saturday, a 5 lb. 7 oz. fish, and Ty Garrett had the second largest bass, a 4 lb. 6 oz. fish.

Leven Cox captured his second consecutive Angler-of-the-Year title with 1,582 points. Ty Garrett was second with 1,470 points and Kenny Dement was third with 1,107 points.
