Woods - Melton

BENTON -- Rick and Mary Woods of Russellville, Ky., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Marie, to Scotty Dale Melton, son of Dale Melton of Malden and Jan and John Massey of Benton. The future bride is also the daughter of the late Glenda Woods.

A 1997 graduate of Richland High School in Essex, Woods graduated in 2001 from Hannibal-LaGrange College. She is pursuing a master's degree in community counseling at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and is a judicial assistant at Southeast.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1992 from Thomas W. Kelly High School and is a materials inspector with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Wedding plans are under way for an April 24, 2004, ceremony.
