Your view: Check before buying

I have learned (or re-learned) that the old adage, "Look before you leap" applies in Sikeston just as well as it usually does elsewhere. And my point here is, when it comes to shopping, it often pays well to make a phone call or take a good look at different locations. Before spending your money, compare merchandise and prices. Don't just assume that any kind of particular business is automatically going to give you the best price just because it advertises that it does or will.

I just very recently saved $5 on a prescription item that was only in the $10-

$15 range. I did this by making my purchase at a considerably smaller and perhaps not so well-known pharmacy, as compared to the one with the exorbitant price, however just as neat and just as nice as the big one. But now here this: I even more recently saved a full $15 on another item which was in only the $40 range. So having learned my lesson in the first incident, the next time I needed a prescription item, I used my telephone and, between the same two Sikeston pharmacies, I made the even larger percentage of savings. Hey, to save $20 on an outlay of only about $35, in my opinion is an extremely good deal. So instead of shop and save, save first and then buy.
