Simmons earns $2,000 for Super Pro win at drag strip
SIKESTON -- Here are the results from the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.
In Super Pro, Ron Simmons of Cape Girardeau won $2,000 for his win. He ran 6.06 on a 6.06 dial at 112 mph. His reaction time was .530. Ricky Skelton of Sikeston was runner up with a 6.18 dial. He ran 6.19 at 106 mph with a .539 reaction time. Skelton also had a perfect run the round before.
In the Pro Class, Paul Zinzileta won with a 7.78 dial. He ran 7.79 at 87 mph with a reaction time of .506. Kevin Dean took second with a 6.61 dial. He ran 6.55 at 103 mph with a .438 reaction time red.
In the E.T. Class, Gary Doom took first place with a 8.55 dial. He ran 8.56 at 79 mph with a #reaction time of .552. Runner up Justin Harper ran 6.99 on a 6.96 dial at 96 mph. His reaction time was .562.
Jr. Dragster was won by Whitney French of Portageville.
