Raymond Traughber

PORTAGEVILLE - Raymond R. Traughber, 60, died Oct. 7, 2003, at his home.

Born April 20, 1943, in Wardell, son of Rose Morgan Traughber of Portageville and the late Cecil Traughber, he retired from Noranda Aluminum and was a member of Water of Life Ministry in Lilbourn.

On June 24, 1990, in Portageville, he married Phyllis Church Turner who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: four sons, Maurice Traughber of Tarkio, Phillip Traughber and Bradley Traughber of Arlington, Texas, and Coeley Traughber of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Thomas Traughber of Malden and Glenn Traughber and Delmas Traughber of Portageville; six sisters, Mary Parker and Corrine Mullins of Malden, Lavern Turpin of Norfolk, Ark., Imogene Scott of Addison, Ala., Glenda Vieth of Bernie and Margie Smith of Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Natalie Ann Traughber of Arlington, Trenton Traughber of Tarkio, Devin Traughber of Cape Girardeau and Bryce Traughber of Atlanta.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Baker and infant Carolyn Traughber.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church in Portageville with the Rev. Eugene Poole officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
