Speakout 10/25

Monday, October 25, 2004

This is to all you so called political smashers out there. You want to know what's wrong with the kids of today? Look at yourselves! Monkey see, monkey do! All you have time to do is smash Bush or Kerry - makes one wonder how your house looks with all the time you spend smashing Bush and Kerry. It's hard to install morals, values and ethics into kids these days with so much political b.s. going on in the daily papers. Kids do read the newspapers too, not just so-called adults (who act worse than a 4-year-old throwing a tantrum). It's going on in the schools, on the buses, in the newspapers, even the local grocery stores. I was taught old school, I guess, where you have respect for the President. It doesn't matter which party is in office, or who the president is. You have respect for him and you show respect by supporting what the president decides, even if you honestly feel it's wrong, and by keeping your opinions to yourself! Unless you're going to run for office next, no one wants to hear your opinion. We hear enough as it is in the newspapers, on TV, etc. If you do not agree with the president in office at the present time, then don't vote for him. It's as simple as that! No need to go around acting like a 4-year-old child who's doing all this name calling. I think the newspapers and the TV stations should start being fined every time they put in some garbage containing slander against the president. Enough is enough! If you have nothing nice to say , then don't say anything at all.

What I like best about John Kerry is that he's brave. He sounds kind of funny when he talks, and his face is not the most handsome, but when he was a young man, and our country was at war, he volunteered for combat and fought valiantly, and our nation decorated him with honors. And when he returned home safely, he was brave to speak out against the war, because it was not the popular thing to do. Many of our generation were grateful that he was not afraid to give voice to those who were not being heard. I admire him.

To all the TBears out there, unless you own an oil well, what on earth makes you think that George Bush is going to do anything for you? Wish I could be so well off that I could vote for Bush or any Republican for that matter, even though I wouldn't even think of it. We who support Kerry and the Democrat Party really care what happens to you. Bush cares what happens to Bush. If you feel any sympathy for our boys in Iraq who have given their lives for you because of a blood-hungry President, you would vote for John Kerry.

How in the world can anyone with half a brain believe we need someone as low as Kerry as a leader? Still lying, even in the debates. He tries to take credit for the No Child Left Behind and accuses President Bush of cutting the funding when, in truth, Bush started the whole thing and increased funding last year. Democrats have been talking about healthcare for years and did nothing. President Bush got this going and will keep improving. Every election year they try to scare seniors about Social Security. We were assured again that it is not over. The very next day, Kerry was in Las Vegas telling senior citizens they will all but starve under Bush with no Social Security. What next? It was pretty tacky to mention Cheney's daughter being a lesbian. It has nothing to do with anything and is very upsetting. Then slimy Edwards lying about his paraplegic people who can get up and walk under his and Kerry's leadership. No doctor anywhere would and ever will say that. Stem cell is for research and is still years away to see if it can help anything. Besides, President Bush does have stem cell research. He just doesn't believe in doing it from abortions. It is also a fact that Bush's tax cuts are for every taxpaying person, not only for the rich.

If memory serves me right, the wars have all been started under the Democrats. They're throwing a fit about the draft. I don't see any difference in drafting now than drafting them in World War II. A lot boys were drafted back then and a lot of them got out. Some went AWOL and a lot of others didn't go. I don't see what's wrong with the draft. I hate to see any boy go over there. I don't think one American boy's life is worth the whole country over there. But if it has to be done, it has to be done. I wish Kerry would quit running President Bush and everybody down. I think he's trying and at least he's trying to be honest.
