This is in regard to the Sikeston Little Theatre. I want to praise the Sikeston Little Theatre for all they have done through the years. They have fabulous productions, they have put on wonderful children's productions and they have a new show coming up this summer called "The Broadway Revue." Terry Sapp is the director and I think there is no one better to do a show such as this. It will be a musical show and, from what I understand, there will be three performances. You should make this show if at all possible. It has a wonderful director and wonderful performers and it's going to be a show you will not want to miss.

I would like to respond to the article about electric. I don't know who you are, but I live in Sikeston, and my electric, water, sewer and trash is more than $52 a month. I don't know where you got your information, but you need to go back and check it again because it is not right. Sometimes my electric bill alone is way over $100. You must be nuts!

I heartily disagree with the person who said smoking is not a hazard to your health. The person said they think all kids of all ages should be allowed to buy cigarettes and marijuana. I highly disagree with this. Smoking is very hazardous to your health. It is also wrong for you to say all kids of all ages should be able to buy it. Apparently you have a problem and need help, and I pray that you get it. The problem is that they're always pushing the taxes up on cigarettes and tobacco products, but there is nothing ever in there about liquor and beer and they kill, also. They kill thousands of people every minute from people being drunk and driving. So I think we should focus on both - tobacco and alcohol.

I live in the St. Ann Addition in New Madrid. There is a house out here that is really junky. It's like a jungle. The whole yard is grown up with broken toys and trash all over the place. The house itself is spray painted on, there is graffiti on it and it is bringing down the value of other homes in the area. I wish they'd clean it up.

In response to the request for someone to take care of children in a pool, I am an experienced lifeguard (I was a lifeguard for six years) and I also served in the U.S. Marine Corps and have a lot of experience training children. I spent three years doing child care lessons in the pool and took CPR all of those years. I am experienced and am looking maybe for part-time work. So leave a number in SpeakOut so I can call you back.
