EDMOND, Okla. - Robert L. "Bob" Baker, 73, died Feb. 23, 2004, following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 2, 1930, in Dixson, Ill., he served with the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and was employed by National Lock Sales for 36 years before retiring, during which time he lived in Sikeston, Mo. He was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edmond.

On Jan. 28, 1978, he married Carol McCann who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Mearle Longnecker of Rockford, Ill., Janice Kesler of Grandville, Mich., Barbara and Larry Lofton of Tulsa and Robin and Gordon Baker of Orlando, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

One brother, Gordon Baker, preceded him in death.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church.

Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery in Agra.

Baggerly Funeral Home of Edmond is in charge of arrangements.
