BLODGETT - Dale Riley, 67, died July 7, 2003, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 14, 1936, in Blodgett, son of the late Rollie Roy and Annie Laura Oldham Riley, he served with the U.S. Army in Germany and was baptized in the Church of Christ. He was a meat cutter for 32 years for the Kroger Co. throughout Southeast Missouri and Arkansas before retiring.

Survivors include: three daughters and one son-in-law, Vicki and Jim Hobbs and Dana Riley of Poplar Bluff and Kaye Riley of Roswell, Ga.; the mother of his children, Alma Rita Lyons of Roswell; two brothers, Dean Riley and Richard Riley of Blodgett; two sisters, Ruby Ann Hurst and Earline Foster of Blodgett; and three grandchildren, Laura Hobbs, Jamie Hobbs and Kassi Riley of Poplar Bluff.

Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday. Johnny Hester, minister of Shady Acres Church of Christ, will officiate.

New Madrid American Legion Post 595 will conduct military graveside rites at the Blodgett Cemetery.
